The screen got damaged from being placed there, but after replacing it, it still doesn’t power on. Connecting an HDMI cable works fine, so the issue isn’t with the connection. The display remains unresponsive despite seeing the computer. I’m unsure what’s causing this problem.

Confirm the internal monitor’s ribbon cable is securely attached. Ensure no other components have been affected during the repair.

monitor ribbon cables can be tricky sometimes, especially with the locking mechanism. It’s easy to wonder if it’s securely fastened, but if the central contact isn’t properly seated, you might feel like it’s still in place even when it shouldn’t be. For flat ribbon cables that go inside the socket, you need to ensure the flat is fully inserted and the latch is closed gently after securing the lever. Sometimes it looks locked, but the connection isn’t complete.
