I'm struggling... experiencing issues with the game...
I'm struggling here... on my setup I experience serious frame drops whenever I play Paladins. It's really frustrating. When I switch off one monitor, everything works perfectly, but turning it back on and switching monitors causes the issue. I've replaced my graphics card—it's brand new, only two days old—but the problem persists. The GPU stays under 55°C, and neither the CPU nor the overclocking is an issue. Here are my specs: Gigabyte RX 6700 XT OC, updated drivers, Ryzen 5 3600, watercooled, 16GB DDR4 3800MHz dual channel, two 1080p monitors with updated drivers, Gigabyte 750W power supply, MSI Bazooka V2 B450M motherboard with latest BIOS, and a 1TB SSD plus a 500GB M.2 SSD. I've ordered a new 850W power supply next time. If this doesn't resolve it, I'm not sure what could be wrong.
Are you experiencing this only with Paladins? First, verify your display settings in the game and graphics card software. There could be restrictions on FPS or VSync enabled when it shouldn’t be. Your monitor might not support FreeSync, which is AMD’s alternative to VSync—disable those options on your monitors, and that might resolve the issue.
Having the settings adjusted doesn't guarantee the refresh rate sync is working. It seems odd if your power source was faulty; low-quality HDMI or Display Port cables can also cause this. I had to purchase costly cables ($75 each) before a prior project functioned correctly. Feedback can be problematic in such situations. What operating system are you using? I wouldn't risk installing Windows 11 just yet, as most users will handle it well, but early adopters often run into trouble. I disabled auto-updates on my current Windows 10 build because instability became an issue between updates, so I only update during major releases. The challenges we face with DIY projects can be significant.
I would verify that your motherboard's BIOS is current and that your PCI bus is configured correctly. If it uses the latest PCI version but your card isn't fully compatible (or vice versa), this might be the issue—likely just a BIOS adjustment.
