These are the official pages for each of the three motherboards but it's important to review the detailed instructions to prevent accidental BIOS resets and driver conflicts. Once you update the BIOS, moving forward is difficult; it's wiser to stay consistent for reliability.

This seems like a great idea to pursue once you gain more experience. For now, just follow what they said and move forward with the 550 thanks again.

Certainly, opting for ease usually means accepting a greater cost.

Absolutely, I’m pretty sure I’m not confident about updating the bios. I’ve never done it before, but maybe it’ll be a good learning opportunity anyway.

Well I'm sure if you made a post in the proper section someone could walk you through it. If they just have the specifics on the mobo and what cpu you are using. So they get the right sequence of bios updates if that is what the manufacture required in terms of updates. Sometimes theres like a major bios update that will in the details panels expressly say or warn that you should update this specific bios update to have the proper driver preresquites. But once you have a stable BIOS there is literally no need for a average consumer to update further as once its stable its pretty hands off in terms of the bios. As a rule of thumb with bios's is it's often safest to avoid flashing it many times. Just cause theres no need if its already stable and functioning properly.

Just a quick thank you again. Sorry if I seem like a beginner—I haven’t used a computer in ages and I probably don’t remember much.
