I'm really into the 3090.
I'm really into the 3090.
The reads are quicker yet the writes lag. I've tested Intel 660p and 665p across four systems, including my own, and it performs well. P.S. The "boot SSD" isn't helpful due to its slow write speeds as well. I'd remove it entirely or replace it with something faster, considering both read and write performance.
the wait could actually stretch even further... because the availability looks limited and it might just be a matter of chance to secure one when it launches... What else can you do? Read a book, watch TV shows, exercise, or play old games?
This build features a powerful 3090 processor and a high-performance monitor.
I'll be collecting the components for this tomorrow at MicroCenter.

I'm planning to set up camp outside the microcenter next week for the 3080. I'll grab one as a backup in case I miss the chance to get a 3090. They mention they don't handle online orders, so whoever is there that morning will take whatever stock they have. I'll bring my lawn chair, a blanket, my smartphone, a portable charger, and some water. It's going to be a great night.
