I joined GamePass to try out games I wasn’t sure about, mostly for free demos. But I never paid for the titles I liked. The hardest part was keeping payments going while my PC and my account details were split, making it hard to quit when I didn’t know how to cancel. Now I’m facing serious issues. Will Microsoft treat me fairly as a customer? Probably not. I realize I’ve supported their business model. Is this really a good thing for companies? But what can I do now? The games I loved are owned by Microsoft, and I’m in trouble. How can I stand up to them?
You're unsure about the exact problem. It seems GOG would have installed the game through Gamepass. Are you facing installation difficulties? Is there a technical problem when launching them? Or did you cancel your subscription and feel left out? I'm trying to understand. Beyond any technical issues, I think you're in agreement with the original poster—Gamepass works well, assuming you know it's a subscription service like Netflix.
Have you installed a game but not played it via Game Pass? Have you lost access to your account and ended up paying the fee? Have you returned to your PC only to find it still hasn’t started playing a game after five hours of reboots? This isn’t about anything else. Just to remind you, I left a computer running and playing games once it was turned on. My goal was to use this subscription for Horizon 5 and Skid Cars, but I’ve been stuck for seven hours trying to get it working.
This hasn't happened to me before—it usually runs smoothly. Still, I'm not sure what's going on. Are you a current gamepass user and the games aren't loading? What actually happens when you try to play? You might be paying extra even though you're a member.
It seems my reasons for not using my PC were unclear. I turned it on, but I haven't started a game even with GamePass. Steam and Epic Games are working fine. What I really wanted was to play Forza Horizon to see how a friend could enjoy high refresh rates.
