It began a few days ago but the windows didn't indicate any crashes until recently. Someone knows what's causing the armor crate to behave this way. The only times my PC has crashed were while playing Valheim with a friend; now it happens in other games too. Edited July 10, 2022 by ThatGuyErik

Ensure the Armoury Crate is current. You can obtain the newest release from the Asus site and simply replace the older one.

Removed Armoury crate but still facing instability problems. It appears unrelated to any particular game and is happening more often lately.

I don't understand the problem well. I'm struggling to figure out what's going wrong. The scan showed some files as corrupted, but Windows said they were fixed. There are no crash logs because the computer freezes completely but doesn't shut down. It only stops working when playing games. Sometimes I can still hear people in Discord or see the green bubble on chat, even though the screen freezes. The system has a Ryzen 9 3900X with an RGB Pro 3600MHz processor, 970 EVO, 1TB SSD, and an ASUS X570 TUF Plus Wi-Fi card.

Have you considered saving your files (documents, photos, saved projects) and resetting your computer? I suggest reformatting your PC and reinstalling your drivers—check the motherboard manufacturer’s site (support → downloads → chipset, audio, LAN, etc.) for chipset and video drivers (NVIDIA or AMD). If the problem continues, please inform us.

I often change the layout due to unexpected window issues. It’s now second nature for me, but a fresh Windows installation usually solves everything and helps me verify exactly what I need. I likely reinstall at least once a year. Debugging the issue will be much slower than moving important files and reformatting. You might finish in an hour if you’re confident (with one drive back up, I’m usually done) and downloading Halo on my new install takes about half an hour.

Recent motherboard BIOS updates and the newest chipset drivers from AMD are available. RAM supports XMP profiles. Performance remains consistent without XMP enabled. Hard disk health is normal. (Hard Disk Sentinel, Crystal Disk Info) The latest SSD firmware has been applied using Samsung Magician. Chkdsk c: /scan is ready to run.

I haven’t tried this before and was considering it only if necessary, since my backup isn’t very recent. I’m planning to move files tomorrow to check if it resolves the problem. I’ve updated my BIOS a few months ago and changed the AMD chipset recently, but the issue persisted. I can install the new chipset from AMD to see if it helps. No change in performance since I disabled DOCP. I haven’t used Crystal Disk Info much lately, but I removed a dead SSD six months ago and everything worked fine then with the tools I had. The 970 drive was also fine after an update. I ran chkdsk c: last night without success. I might run some scans later today, but a storm is coming tonight, so I can’t test now. If anyone has suggestions, please let me know. I’m open to trying anything that could assist.

The GPU drivers aren’t likely the problem. I refreshed them when the issue began, and I used DDU in safe mode six months prior, suspecting a RAM failure instead.
