I checked my setup and found the CPU clock running between 4-5 GHz. Since I haven’t adjusted the BIOS settings, it’s possible the system is powering on for the first time due to a standard overclock or a large water cooler. Updated December 23, 2023 by am1t

Intel Turbo boost adjusts automatically. Some boards alter power caps, thermal limits, and other settings depending on the model. This is especially common in older generations where power budgets were tighter. (After 56 seconds at 250W, it drops to 125W.) Speeds naturally vary unless you run intensive tasks. As long as temperatures stay under control, everything should be fine. You can check the BIOS often to see if you need to adjust cooling power settings—people often choose higher values without realizing the limits have changed. (Still within Intel guidelines)
