It's good to hear you're not alone. The site, manual, and other online references claim they're just a stereo headset. You might have surround sound software such as Razer Surround installed on your computer. In that case, turn it off or remove the program. Check the sound settings: right-click the speaker in the bottom-right corner → select 'Playback devices' → click 'Headphones' in the menu → go through the tabs to find the option.

I also turned off all virtual and audio options in the control sound panel. It works fine on the PC from the games I’ve tried, but with the consoles it’s a different situation.
