I'm making some mistakes here!
I'm trying to set up two new Mini ITX gaming rigs for my son. I wanted to check the parts in the first setup, but it doesn't boot as far into the BIOS before shutting down. I'm confused about what might be wrong or which part is faulty. Several Q-LEDs on the motherboard light up (the CPU is definitely on) before the system turns off. It powers off after less than five seconds until the CMOS clears. After that, it stays on for about thirty seconds, but the Q-LEDs still light up and it doesn't reach the BIOS level. Since I'm building two rigs, I can swap some components. I've replaced the CPU and PSU, but nothing has changed. Here are the details: Intel Core I9-12900KF, ASUS ROX STRIX B660-I Gaming, Corsair Vengeance 32Gb (2 x16), DDR5 5200Mhz, MSI RTX 2070 Super Ventus GP OC, Corsair CX750F NZXT Kraken X63 AIO cooler, SSUPD, Meshlicious case. The cooler has an LGA 1700 bracket that hasn't arrived yet. While the cooler is connected to the board, it isn't physically attached to the CPU back. I'm eager to test everything as soon as possible. I've temporarily installed an old SK Hynx 256Gb NVME M.2 for testing, and borrowed a GPU from my eGPU for the same purpose. It seems the issue isn't with the cooler not touching the CPU, just that it's not properly seated. I've unplugged and plugged back in the RAM, inspected the CPU socket, swapped all PSU connections, and changed the PSU. What could I be missing?
