The MacBook Air or Pro works well for virtual machines, especially if you're on Linux or Windows.

For a virtual machine, you only need minimal power—just a stable Wi-Fi connection. Unless you have other tasks for the MacBook that aren’t virtual, opt for the pro version.

They require similar or greater power compared to a regular machine. They must operate the core operating system and any virtualized systems.

VirtualBox works well. I favor VMWare for running virtual machines on my own machine, as the interface feels better. Running VMs demands significant processing power—many CPU cores and memory are needed. Remote access depends heavily on a stable internet connection, which behaves differently than local hosting.

Which virtual machines are being used? Using Macs might not be ideal since they either run ARM-based systems with limited OS support or older Intel hardware. Do you have a specific reason for needing a Mac for this task?

Which virtual machines should you deploy? The ARM CPU restricts you to ARM-based VMs, so confirm this aligns with your requirements.
