I don't believe switching from a Core i5 to a Ryzen 7 would fit on the same board unless you purchase a chipset that accommodates Ryzen processors. If I were you, I'd opt for the Core i5 9400F.

It’s likely the most affordable and simplest I7 option for LGA 1150. During gaming, the one operating near full capacity is the bottleneck. I own an RX 590 with an I7 4770, and in games it’s usually the GPU that limits performance.
