Hi there, I’m having some issues with my new PC. It’s been five months, but when I tried to boot it today, there was no display and all USB ports weren’t working. No power came through on the USB devices either. Removing the RAM didn’t help, and a red light is coming from the motherboard. The system is brand new, and it has an RTX 4070 Ti and a 7,800 MHz CPU. I’m really hoping someone can assist me—this would be great! I’ve attached the PC’s details, just to let you know it was functioning perfectly before these problems started. Thanks!

It seems your power supply unit has stopped working. Or maybe it's the motherboard, though that's less probable. Such a total breakdown is unusual. Could you share the brand, model, and wattage of your PSU?

Your setup demands a robust power supply to function smoothly. A high-quality PSU is essential, particularly when dealing with demanding components. Just because the wattage is listed doesn’t guarantee performance; the real factor is the condition of the parts inside. You’ll need a reliable unit that can handle the load.

That seems reasonable, though the high ratings don't always mean the product is top-notch. There are also concerns about unfair practices in the market. Could you tell me which brand and model you're interested in?

I don’t know how to open the PC. I’m trying to remove the cables but they aren’t coming out easily—I was worried about damaging anything.

No, you won't be able to see the PSU by looking through the window.

Remove the back panel first to access the PSU. This process is straightforward and safe. It’s secured at the rear with some thumbscrews; just loosen them and slide the panel off. Swapping a PSU is similarly simple—just search online for instructions or ask someone experienced.
