I've owned my PC for four years, and it started with brand new components. The CPU I used throughout was a Ryzen 7 2700x. When I switched to a Ryzen 7 5700x, the system would light up everything but fail to display anything on the monitor after about ten seconds, then shut down. I assumed this was a BIOS update issue, so I installed my old CPU and updated the BIOS. After testing again, it still didn’t show anything and turned off. Am I just not noticing the problem? My motherboard is a B450 ATX Steel Legends.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.
My mother board is a B450 atx steel legends.

^ is this your motherboard?
Did you flash the BIOS to the latest version prior to upgrading the processor?

If you're asking correctly, it seems you didn't modify your bio before changing the CPU initially. I did update my bio after experiencing issues where my PC couldn't run for more than 10 seconds. My old CPU is still in the system, but it's not working properly even after switching to a new one.
