Hi,
OS- Windows 11,
Mobo: Gigabyte B650M DS3H
CPU: Ryzen 5 7600
GPU: Asrock AMD RX 7800 XT Challenger OC

Afterburner versions tried:
Afterburner v4.6.6.16555 [Beta 5]
Afterburner 4.6.5 [Final]

I attempted to set the GPU fan speed to 0 via msi afterburner, but it didn’t work. In HW monitoring, I see the minimum reached 0 briefly, but it only happened for a short time. I want to maintain the fan speed at 0 up to a certain temperature. For testing, I set it to 0 up to 90°C, though I’ll adjust later. The fan is stuck at 20% minimum.

Please help.

Your GPU currently features 0dB(A) Silent Cooling. The specifications are available here: https://www.asrock.com/Graphics-Card/AMD/Radeon RX 7800 XT Challenger 16GB OC/. Are you aiming to broaden the temperature range when fans are off? If yes, Afterburner won't be able to take control of the GPU. It will simply stick to the default temperature settings it was programmed with during setup.

Verify the "use firmware control mode" option. If your card allows it, you should be able to adjust a curve in the BIOS while maintaining the card's zero-fan setting (note this usually needs only 3 nodes on the curve). Also remove the "override zero fan speed with hardware curve".

tyvm definitely shows 0 rpm, and after uninstalling msi afterburner the fans remain at 0 rpm during idle. However, they don't drop to 0 rpm when using msi afterburner.

It's possible the GPU identifies Afterburner and activates a protection feature, preventing Silent Fan mode from working. After all, Afterburner is applied to change GPU settings and can cause increased temperatures.

Have you checked the firmware control mode?

What didn't function properly? Did you manage to implement it, and did the fans continue spinning at low temperature or were you unable to activate it? If the zero RPM mode operates when MSI Afterburner is turned off, then it should also operate correctly when you successfully apply firmware control mode.
