I was the first to attempt overclocking my i5-4690k after installing cpu-z. I noticed that frequency and voltage varied based on CPU load—800mhz idle. I increased it to 4.2 with auto settings, setting the voltage to 1.200. My only goal was to run Cinebench. After testing, I reverted the changes back to stock since I wasn’t in need of further overclocking; I just played light games. Later, on CPU-z, I saw it drop to 3,899MHZ briefly, then stabilized at 3,799MHZ with a voltage of 1,138 and a drop to 1.078. It wasn’t like the idle speed before. I removed the battery to clean the CMOS and reset the BIOS settings, but nothing helped. Please assist me. Here are my parts:

MB: Asrock b85m-pro3
CPU: i5-4690k
RAM: geil evo potenza 2x4gb 1600
PSU: 500watts (I replaced my other PSU, now using this one with integrated GPU because it’s weak for my R9 280X)
Sorry for the English, thanks!

Have you disabled any energy-saving settings within your BIOS configuration?
