My old computer is already running Windows 10, but they did not give me a digital key for my Windows 11 version. That was really annoying. I found someone who sells Microsoft employee discounts and he can help me get something. The price is very low. Just to make sure it's full retail and not OEM. Fortunately, my MS Office 2016 license is still valid and the installation option is there, so that saves me money. Now I need to try out flight sims. If I can find MS Flight Sim at a good price, I might buy it.

If upgrading from Windows 10 to 11 is supposed to work, check if the old system wasn't meant for Win 11. If it was only on Windows 10 and your license came with a Microsoft account, you might be able to move that stuff to new hardware and then upgrade there. But...if you have a cheap option from an MS employee friend, go get that one instead.
