when i wake up and turn on my pc, i join into a game and it feels very responsive at first. but as the session continues, the input lag gets extremely high. i have to restart my pc so the game feels responsive again. here’s what i have: a ryzen 5 1600 with default cooler, rx 580, 8gb ram, ddr4 (3000 mhz), 1tb hdd from seagate barracuda, and a b700h gigabyte power supply. please help me figure out why the game keeps showing such high input lag during play!

Hello there, I faced the same issue around two months ago. It was resolved by turning on Windows 10, which introduced a watermark with a message prompting V-Sync activation. This caused input lag. To fix it, simply purchase a $10 key to enable Windows 10 and you should be good.

I don't have personal experiences, but I can tell you that my performance is consistent across various tasks. Let me know if you'd like more details!

If temperatures are acceptable, I'm concerned the PF might become excessive over time? Perhaps setting a fixed starting size and maximum would help, like 1024GB or 10GB, to prevent any risk of it expanding and raising HDD I/O loads.

Really consider downvoting without reason, my friend and I faced the same issue and resolved it as discussed before. Windows 10 was really affecting my PC, and I had an input lag problem for more than a year. I tried everything, then read a forum suggesting that turning on Windows would fix it. I ignored their advice and gave it a shot, and it worked perfectly—no input lag.

It could be, but it depends on whether the person already has an inactive version. Also, recommending $10 keys might not be popular among the mods.

My windows is not active! Hey
@boju
Can you clarify what you're asking? You mentioned PF and something about a fixed initial/max size, like 1024GB or 10GB. It sounds like you want to prevent it from growing and increasing HDD IOPs. Could you explain further?

Control Panel\System and Security\System > Advanced System Settings. Navigate to the Advanced tab. Click settings under Performance then Advanced tab.
Select change under Virtual memory. A window similar to the one shown will appear.
Disable the Automatically manage box. Adjust the parameters for a custom size. Experiment with the values in the image. After confirming, click ok; the system will prompt for a restart.
You can always recheck the Auto box to restore default settings at any time.
