Updating your system’s software could be beneficial. However, you should also explore adding more memory. Evaluating captaincharisma’s advice regarding an SSD would be advisable. It might also be useful to utilize CrystalDisk to assess the performance of both storage devices. For Nvidia drivers, a fresh installation is recommended – download them directly from the manufacturer’s website, bypassing GeForce Experience. Select the “clean install” option during installation and then restart your computer. Avoid installing GeForce Experience; you can remove it from the custom install selection.

Certainly, I’m intending to add additional memory, but I believe that’s not the root cause of the lagging. Eight gigabytes of RAM should be ample for a game such as Minecraft. I’ll investigate CrystalDisk shortly, and I recently updated my motherboard firmware. The Asus-Q installer appeared upon restarting, and now I’m concentrating on ensuring all my system components are current.

Certainly, I concur that 8 gigabytes would likely be sufficient for Minecraft.

The hard drives are operating correctly. The system firmware update had no effect on the freezing issue.

Pay attention to the frametime at the bottom of the graph, specifically.

Which version of Microsoft Minecraft—developed by Microsoft or Mojang—is this? Examining your image reveals that this particular game relies heavily on processing power rather than graphics cards. Furthermore, it could be utilizing only one core processor, leading to limited performance gains compared to your previous system, which possessed six cores.

This version is for Java, and it features Mojang displayed during the startup process.

Honestly, I (and my children specifically) prefer that particular one. Could you tell me about your internet setup? Is it a wired connection or something wireless? The processing power of your computer and the speed of your internet are primarily what determines performance in the Mojang version, and it’s clear you have a strong processor for that game.

My problems aren’t limited to this particular game; I'm also experiencing difficulties with my wireless internet connection.

Do other games experiencing lag issues depend on your internet connection (such as multiplayer)?
