Hey, everyone, I’ve been dealing with some problems with my custom-built PC for a while now. I’ll go through what happened step by step. For reference, here’s the parts list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/fzzKNz. I don’t remember the exact motherboard, power supply, or SSD, but that should give me a good starting point. About six months ago, I upgraded the case to an NZXT H710i. Then I started experiencing issues while playing games—either the PC would crash with a blue screen, or it would just restart without showing any error. I tried everything: changing XMP settings, re-seating RAM/CPU/Storage, updating drivers, rebooting, reinstalling Windows, downgrading from Windows 11 to 10, using the old case, and swapping out other components like the GPU. Nothing worked. Eventually, about six months later, I decided to rebuild everything. I removed half the parts and upgraded the CPU, motherboard, RAM, and power supply to the models shown here. That fixed the problem completely. Now I’m running Windows 11 smoothly, and the old case is still working fine. The issue has come back recently, but I’m not sure if it’s hardware or software. If you think it might be software-related, maybe try a clean install or update the BIOS. But honestly, I’m out of funds for new parts right now and can’t afford another technician visit without a solid reason. What do you think?

This idea seems unusual, but I experienced a strange problem once. My SD card slot in my case stopped working, possibly due to a short or similar issue, which appeared after I changed the case. It might have been just one of the ports that was damaged. My PC would fail to start even with the SD card connected or would freeze during operation. My advice right now is to disconnect all case connectors from the motherboard and test if it improves things. If nothing changes, you can try starting your PC with a wire until you confirm it resolves the problem, then proceed with replacing the case.

I just noticed I missed adding that part, but I’ll definitely check what you suggested. This problem popped up when I switched back to Windows 10 (Win11 was causing issues), but since I’m testing it on my current PC, I’ll try it out. I’ll let you know if it works!

I wasn't upgraded to W10, I was downgraded from a previous version.

Open Event Viewer via Win+S, navigate to Custom Views, then Administrative Events. Any encountered errors will display their respective descriptions.

There are options available, but each one has its flaws and often causes more problems than it solves. The best solution remains fresh.
