I recently obtained GTA V via the Epic Games Store, installing its Social Club and Rockstar Game Launcher, along with the associated VC Redist. After starting the game, it functioned properly for approximately ten minutes during the initial North Yankton mission. However, immediately following its completion, the game abruptly closed to the desktop without warning. I subsequently swapped this folder for a previously used save file from my older PC’s documents, and the game successfully launched. Initially, I observed an inability to control the camera and move Michael left or right. Attempting to access the menu through Esc resulted in a persistent, spinning white circle screen with blurring – an infinite loading screen. I terminated the game through Task Manager and restarted it, at which point I was able to control Michael, but after two minutes, the game froze, and both AMD Radeon software and Rainmeter displayed a "memory could not be read" error.

Considering these issues, I questioned the cause and then ran Heaven Benchmark at maximum settings over its entire 26 scenes, which performed flawlessly without any visual disturbances or errors. Following this, I conducted a one-hour AIDA64 memory stress test, and my PC remained stable without crashes or freezes.

Could you please advise on why these problems are occurring?

My computer specifications:
-Intel Core i5 4590
-8 GB of RAM, dual-channel at 1600 MHz
-XFX Radeon RX 570 with 4 GB of video memory
Software: AMD Radeon software version 20.4.1 and Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit version 1909

Replacing those save files won't work, and that’s the reason it’s not functioning properly. You will need to begin playing from the beginning again.
