Checking if a router works well in a big house is important. It depends on the size and setup of your home network.

The answer is uncertain. It varies based on the home, nearby Wi-Fi signals, and other gadgets such as microwaves, as well as wall structure and positioning.

The main concern is the FCC's restrictions on power output, which limits options unless you aim for a more focused signal. Generally, covering a wide area requires many smaller APs.

What is the total area in square feet? Where should the router be positioned? Which areas would have devices between it and each important equipment? Don’t try to figure it out yourself. Someone might guess, but we’re not sure about the property you’re purchasing. If it’s a large home, it’s better to include several entryways with Wi-Fi—even a basic mesh won’t suffice anymore. Most modern setups need more than one device to ensure a good connection.
