Hi
I’m looking for a laptop that’s future-proof, at least supporting Windows 11. I don’t want gaming or video editing features—just something fast and efficient.
I’m about to make a purchase and would appreciate your thoughts. Will this item be a good choice? Or could you suggest an alternative that’s slightly more expensive but offers better performance?
Here are the links I found:

Please let me know your opinion.
"i5-4310M" and the other one - "Intel Core i5 3rd Gen"
Not even close.
These laptops use processors that don't support Windows 11. They aren't future-proof. You're dealing with 4th generation chips; the 11th generation is still relevant. The 8GB RAM might need an upgrade. They seem reasonably priced, but offering Windows 11 is misleading, and I'd steer clear of those sellers.
hi when you mention 8gb may need an upgrade, i mean it could be a sign that your device isn't handling the current workload efficiently. 8gb might not be enough for more demanding tasks or future needs. an upgrade would be necessary if performance starts to lag or if you're using resource-intensive applications.
In 2021, 8GB is considered absolute minimum.
Overall though...neither of those systems are good, except for being cheap.
Neither of them are Win 11 capable.
If that is actually Win 11 running on that, it would be a beta/dev version. NOT actual the Win 11 release.
The CPU in both of those is far off the bottom of the supported list.

There is not much you can do within $200.
which is the most affordable refurbished option that could run win11, anyone has a suggestion?
What will it be used for?
Here is a NEW laptop, for #220.

I absolutely would NOT recommend this.
Seriously underpowered. But it will (just barely) run Win 11, and it comes with a known valid license.
Looking for refurbs at Dell Outlet, starting around $550 for a i3-1005G1 processor, 8GB RAM
Comes with Win 10 Home, but capable of Win 11.

However, the "Win 11" condition is almost unnecessary. A budget laptop purchased today running Windows 10 will probably not deliver good performance when Windows 10 stops receiving updates in 2025, and it would be better to upgrade.
