It's understandable you're cautious. There are hints suggesting possible attempts to influence public perception around the release of Battlefront 3. Some reports indicate that individuals associated with the game were approached by public figures and offered compensation for positive social media endorsements. While it's unclear whether these people actually purchased the game, the evidence points toward a coordinated effort to shape opinions.

Subjectively, just because someone believes something is bad doesn't guarantee it will be. There are cases where individuals lost jobs due to evaluation results. Similarly, with Titanfall, players might not have spent enough time to realize it would become monotonous over time.

IGN receives payment, that's established. GS I'm not sure.

the purpose of a review is to understand the game fully, but only after sufficient time helps the critic recognize its strengths and weaknesses.

For years, gamers have noticed a growing divide between review platforms and the gaming community. Over the past seven years, these sites have overlooked key issues faced by PC players, such as anti-gamer tactics like always-online DRM, overly short game releases, and other concerns that matter to the audience. Simultaneously, they promote AAA titles with high ratings even when fans aren’t impressed. This shift suggests these platforms are more focused on marketing tools for major publishers, who can easily undermine them since they rely on early access to code for competition. The underlying tension between publisher profits and player interests remains unresolved.

One individual faces a huge group of gamers. Their viewpoint might shift, but it's not necessary to alter it for the players. There are many platforms offering varied scoring opinions, like Mad Max reviews and Mad Max score discussions. Some sites have removed review scores altogether, such as kotaku. I support the desire for early access codes, yet acknowledge publishers maintain significant control.
