I put together two identical parts: CPU : NOW i am testing a Q9550 but I have tried many other CPUs like QX9650, QX9770, Q6600, and E5200. MB : The motherboard is an Asus P5Q-SE2 (link here). RAM : This board uses DDR2 800MHz memory. Case : The case comes from Chieftech from 2008. Heatsink : I used Artic cooling because it was cheap. PSU : My power supply unit is a Bequiet model PC1 which works great at 3900 MHz with the Q9550 (using a 459x8.5 screw). It runs stable for more than 4000 with my extreme processors. PC2 : However, the PC2 is not even stable at 3400 MHz with the Q9550 using a 400x8.5 screw. The same motherboard was tried and everything else worked fine but the difference is huge! Which MB P45 does not even hold 430 of FSB?
