If cost isn't a concern... Then...
Hey, I'm always open to suggestions. I like the idea of going less and larger, but like I said I know very little about the M.2 drives, for example I know some of the old SSDs had colour schemes for different uses, do the M.2s follow this logic? and if so what sort of Gbs/TBs sizes are we talking about?
The setup seems tailored for specific needs rather than general speed. I don’t require rapid external drives. The power supply looks excessive for typical use. Gen9 PCIe is clearly unnecessary here. A premium connection like USB4/Thunderbolt isn’t essential. Four M.2 bays are planned, but I’m sticking to the available options. I didn’t worry about cost and prioritized a top-tier board with Taichi support. No hesitations.
I've been enjoying the Gigabyte Areolus Elite AX, gently overclocked with PBO. Nvme speeds seem fine, boot time is very slow with my combination of parts.
