I'm set in override mode with a consistent 4.2ghz performance. The BIOS reads 1.375v, which aligns with 1.368-1.37v in CPU-Z. I use a 240mm AIO because it maintains stable gaming performance without reaching 4.2ghz. Under load, the voltage in CPU-Z typically shows around 1.4v or slightly higher.

Heat controls the safe voltage you require. When temperatures reach 80°C or below, the voltage needed remains acceptable.

In normal operation, yes. The setup maintains the voltage before the core at that level, allowing for quicker boosts. The core doesn’t remain stuck at that voltage when under load. It should register around 1.45V. Run a test like Cinebench R20. You’ll notice it decreases and stabilizes near 1.3V. If not, there may be an issue or excessive voltage being applied.

It isn't the case. Raising the voltage boosts conductivity, allowing more current to pass and heating the processor higher. Even with a cooling system maintaining a low temperature, individual capacitors may still overheat and fail. Increasing voltage won’t speed up the processor; it might be needed only if frequency is raised. The best approach is to keep voltage as low as possible while still meeting requirements.

Mine alternates between 1.05v and 1.405v as expected for the boost function. At full core load it stabilizes near 1.325v. For accurate readings, try HardwareInfo64 or Ryzen Master. HWMonitor hasn’t been updated to support Zen2 properly. https://www.hwinfo.com/download/
