I built my own loop and the temperatures are rising during gaming. It usually stays around 60-70°C on a Ryzen 7 5700X. The CPU isn’t even overclocked, so it’s just 65 watts. The idle temperature is 50°C, which is also quite high. Your custom setup includes a Corsair XR5 240mm radiator, a Corsair Hydro X xxC7 water block, and the Yosoo SC-300T pump (12V, ultra-quiet). The coolant reservoir holds up to 300L/h and is made by Corsair. I also use Corsair thermal paste. The room temperature is about 22°C. I’ve adjusted pump and fan speeds, added more fans, but the issue persists.

It looks okay at 70 degrees max for this 240mm loop. The CPU should handle more than the 65W AMD claims. The idle temperature seems high, but it’s probably due to background processes rather than the cooling system itself.

When it sits idle at 50°C I don’t see any activity and other units running faster seem to be doing better. Might the pump be the issue?

No information provided. Please specify the startup applications and their CPU usage at idle.

All startup programs are disabled and the CPU usage remains between 2 to 5.

That's unusual. Could you clarify what you mean by your pump and fan curve?

Are you certain it was 100% from the beginning? It’s possible there’s an air bubble in the thermal paste.

It appears there were minor air gaps when applying the thermal paste, possibly due to insufficient quantity or pressure. I’ll reapply it and share the outcome.
