Identifying performance issues and optimizing CPU usage.
I've been trying to figure out what's going wrong with my PC for almost a year now. About four months ago I thought my CPU was failing and needed a replacement. But after running more benchmark tests with Cinebench, I realized something else might be limiting performance—my setup can't handle demanding games anymore. Now I usually get around 50 frames per second with medium settings, which is a big drop from the 200+ fps I used to get. Some people said it was the power supply, others the CPU, but I don't think my CPU is the main bottleneck. My current specs are: GTX EVGA 1080 Ti, Intel i5 8500 at 3.6 GHz, and 16 GB of RAM. I've also noticed the CPU stays at full speed in Task Manager, even when I'm not gaming. Occasionally, when I'm watching videos and playing games together, the PC might shut down completely. I'm open to sharing more details or even letting someone take a look if it helps, but this issue keeps getting worse. Would it really be worth sending it to a specialist? Thanks a lot.
I haven't run bench tests on my PCU yet. If you find a tool where you can check each one separately, I can share the results with you.
