Identifying issues with Wi-Fi antenna connection on a PC.
I completed assembling my first PC. Successfully installed Windows 11, but the Wi-Fi antenna isn't appearing on the system. It only displays a message that the Ethernet cable isn't connected. I ran system troubleshooting steps—reset network adapter, executed commands in Command Prompt (netsh winsock reset, netsh int ip reset, dnsflush)—and also tried enabling the antenna/adapter in Device Manager, though it doesn’t show up there either after clicking "Show hidden items." If anyone has advice, I really appreciate it! My motherboard is an Asus ROG Maximus z690 Hero and the antenna is an Asus 2T2R Wi-Fi antenna.
Install the WiFi chipset drivers from the motherboard maker's site or Intel's page. You might connect your PC to Ethernet briefly, or save the drivers on another device, move them to a USB drive, and then install them on this machine. https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-ma..._download/
