Identifying issues with the Canon MG2522 print head alignment
I just switched the color cartridge on this printer. It printed correctly at first but then asked for print head alignment. After that, it prompted to scan the page. I scanned it and received an error message indicating something went wrong. I didn’t notice any obvious issues, but when I tried to scan again, it made loud noises. Printing a test page resulted in garbled text. Anyone have a solution? Thanks.
The method you applied is as follows:

Canon genuine cartridges are recommended.
The package claims the cartridges won't void my warranty. I printed a picture without issues and followed the instructions for alignment. The error message appeared as 29. The process wasn't clearly explained—there were missing areas, but color entries should have been included. When I scanned the page, the printer made strange noises as if it was malfunctioning. I’m hoping this will work. I really enjoy this Canon and its photo prints. Please help. Thank you.
Non-genuine carts often face various problems. I recently experienced this with my brother using laser. Third-party options work well most of the time. With text, it's hard to tell. I'm trying to print photos...even someone without much experience can notice a big difference.
My images appear excellent using the Canon printer. I think I resolved the issue this morning with a manual alignment option. Thanks --
