I recently installed pfSense on a Watchguard 515 firewall. I replaced it with an SSD and attempted to connect all cables. Sometimes the Ethernet was connected and I rebooted, but the desktop wouldn’t work. Access to the webGUI was lost. I’ve tried various setups, but nothing seems to function. The modem/router setup (WiFi on) → pfSense → switch → PC modem → (WiFi off) → pfSense → switch → PC modem → IP 192.168.1.1. On the firewall, WAN is 192.168.1.102/24, LAN is 192.168.1.1/24, and the router range covers 192.168.1.101 to 192.168.1.251. I can ping 8.8.8.8 from the firewall, so the signal is active. I can also reach my desktop via Wi-Fi, but the Ethernet address is 169.254.173.16. I’ve tried enabling OPT1, OPT2, OPT3, and OPT4 with static IPs, but still no connection.
