Hello, welcome to the forum. I realize this might be outside your usual area, but I hope it’s okay. My motherboard was damaged in a power surge and died overnight. This led to the need for an upgrade, which is where things got tricky. Previously, my system ran a Ryzen 5900X with several components including a Crucial RAM stick and a Crucial SSD. After returning the old board for return, it worked fine until I swapped it out. The new Gigabyte Aorus X570 motherboard only accepted one 8GB RAM stick in DIMM_A2. The BIOS couldn’t recognize the RAM brand or frequency, even though XMP was enabled. I double-checked the specifications and it seemed compatible. If I try more sticks or change slots, the computer restarts several times without logging in. CMOS was reset multiple times during troubleshooting. I tested the RAM on another machine, but it worked without XMP. Currently, I’m using 16GB of Vengeance with XMP at 3200Mhz on the new board, and it’s running smoothly. I recently reinstalled it and tried Ballistix again, but it didn’t work. Is this a compatibility problem or could the RAM be faulty? Thanks!
