Hey there, I recently assembled this PC: 1080 SLI (no overclock) Founders Edition i7-6800K 3.4 GHz, 64 GB RAM (two 32 GB Crucial), 1440p monitor at 144 Hz, EVGA X99 EVGA Supernova 1000W, 80+ PLAT, dual-channel SLI bridge. I’ve noticed poor performance in Rise of the Tomb Raider on maximum settings—around 40-55 FPS when SLI is on. It seems like something might be limiting the speed. I’m sure there’s a cause behind this bottleneck and would love to figure it out. Thanks!

Did you verify that SLI is turned on in your BIOS? Also, make sure hyperthreading is enabled.

Updates are necessary. The system won’t slow down.

It might be a minor issue or glitch, and the performance could drop when multiple monitors are on if the game isn't optimized for it.

You're asking about update drivers and why your PC isn't performing as expected despite seeing performance claims. It seems you're trying to understand what an update driver is, how to get one, and whether enabling SLI helps. The process involves checking for the latest drivers from your manufacturer, ensuring compatibility with your hardware, and following the instructions in the control panel or support site.

No slowdown. A bottleneck occurs when one part reaches its limit while another isn’t even at half capacity, causing poor frame rates. I’m not sure your CPU is fully utilized.

Check other factors affecting performance. You expect a boost from your current setup but aren't seeing it. Investigate potential issues beyond the base configuration.

As mentioned, refer to GPU driver updates. Experiment with various versions. The latest official release, the newest beta, and some older versions are still available.

I changed the GPU driver to the latest version, but the issue still exists. Could there be a problem with the game installation?

Max settings refer to turning everything up to its highest possible level. This could mean using features like Nvidia Super Resolution, which renders the game in a higher resolution for sharper anti-aliasing. Doing this would result in performance similar to running the game on a much higher resolution display.
