Earlier I tried building a fully Chinese-made PC and possibly used an Nzxt modular SATA cable with my Evga power supply. This led to the Hyundai SSD overheating and catching fire. Afterward, the computer would often fail to boot, sometimes working just fine enough to avoid immediate damage. I switched PSUs without success, and the issue persisted with the same SSD. The motherboard was still unreliable, and I wasn’t sure how power could reach the SATA port without causing harm. The system had specs like an Xeon E5-2560 v4 ZSUS motherboard (100% original), a late Hyundai SATA 128 SSD, and an Evga 600W PSU with a 1000W SATA cable. I also considered an NVMe 128GB SSD, as the older Xeon supports it.

Fixing the board should resolve your problem, but it’s a shame nothing else has failed except the SSD and part of the board.

Avoid combining cables from various power supplies, even if they come from the same maker... ensure you use the cables designed for that specific PSU.
