Hello everyone! I’m part of a team that hosts a gaming live-stream for charity annually. We usually partner with businesses and organizations to cover our gear costs. Last year we used three green screen sets, ten cameras, and eight HDMI/DVI ports through a Black Magic video switch. We then sent everything to Twitch.TV via Open Broadcaster Software. That setup cost us around $2,000, but only raised $1,125. I personally prefer not to spend more than we collected. To save money next year, I’m considering switching to software solutions instead of buying hardware. Each computer or console streams its own display and audio through an OBS client directly to the Host PC or server over a local network. The host can then pull those LAN streams into another OBS client to broadcast to Twitch. I’m not sure how to connect all the OBS clients together, any ideas? Please let me know if you have suggestions or diagrams—I’ll be happy to clarify!

I believe a diagram would be useful. I've experienced success with the ndi plugin for Obs, achieving low latency and high quality with minimal quality loss.

Thank you for your response. The diagram has been shared. I'm working on understanding how to establish the ? connection. Can all four OBS clients stream directly to the host PC, or would a server acting as an intermediary be necessary? Please let me know what approach seems most effective. Your guidance is greatly appreciated.

Search for the ndi plugin—it’s designed for this purpose and performs well with minimal delay and excellent quality. Simply install it across all systems via the provided link. Configure the hosts to send ndi output, and you can incorporate it into the streamer as needed.
