Identify common issues with the keyboard connection, unexpected input clicks, and missing user controls.
Details: System: Windows 10 CPU: Intel Xeon 2640 v4 Board: ZSUS x99 P4 Board (this isn't an error, it's a Chinese board) RAM: Hyperx 4x8 2666 mhz DDR4 (32gb) Graphics: Power Color Red Devil 590 8gb VRAM SSD: Intel 970p NVME 512gb Power Source: Apevia Spirit 600 watt PSU Display: Asus TUF Gaming VG249Q1A 1080p 144hz Issue: The main challenge I face is keyboard instability leading to lag and random inputs. For instance, during gameplay, overlays like Spotify would appear unexpectedly and change tracks. A Windows feature once zoomed in and out, sometimes making me feel like I was being watched. Inputs would trigger without command, even when connected to the case rather than directly to the board. The problem persists whether I use USB or internal USB ports. Regarding performance, my frame rates drop noticeably in Xdefiant despite stable 120fps at low settings. This only happens during gameplay. Fixes attempted: 1. Adjusted Windows power settings to high performance. 2. Disabled USB selective suspend in advanced settings. 3. Reduced VRM heat causing fan activation upon purchase. 4. Rebuilt GPU and CPU. 5. Reassembled hardware. 6. Updated drivers via Windows Update section. 7. Removed Avast Security and HID keyboard drivers. 8. Reinstalled USB Root Hub 3.0, mouse, and other essentials. 9. Updated AMD drivers for adrenaline. 10. Disabled Instant Replay in AMD software. 11. Used only USB 2.0 ports. 12. Switched to a different GPU port. Notes: 1. SSD is from a Dell laptop; board brand confirmed as ZSUS. 2. GPU uses 8+6 pins but connected via a detachable cable. 3. Cable was rated for higher wattage than required. 4. Tried various ports and cables, but USB 2.0 remains more reliable. 5. Keyboard lacks LED indicators for power loss. 6. Still experience occasional key flashes but less frequently now. 7. After driver updates and disabling replay, frame stability improved significantly. 8. Performance rating for Xdefiant rose from moderate to excellent. 9. Keyboard input issues persist but are less frequent. 10. Port sensitivity is high; moving USB ports affects disconnection sounds. 11. No visible hardware faults, though testing is ongoing. 12. Considered upgrading to a budget board or checking PSU quality. 13. AMD Adrenaline drivers helped, but occasional audio glitches remain. 14. I’m open to suggestions and appreciate your time. This process required considerable effort.
