Hello, I constructed my own PC. It’s intended for 3D CAD tasks and, during my spare time (if possible), for gaming. Here’s the truth. The system includes 64GB of RAM since the 32GB in our school computers is often at full capacity. Additionally, I aim for a lifespan of ten years without requiring significant upgrades. The monitor will be added later, it doesn’t matter much.

Basic Setup:
Case: Endorify Arx 700 Air
CPU: Intel Core i7 14700K 8+12x 3.40Ghz / Turbo up to 5.60Ghz / 28 Threads
Motherboard: MSI B760 Tomahawk WIFI
Graphics Card: nVidia RTX4070 SUPER 12Gb (different models available)
RAM: ADATA XPG Lancer 64Gb DDR5 6000Mhz CL30 Kit (2x 32Gb)
SSD: ADATA Legend 850 1TB M.2 PCIe SSD
Power Supply: ADATA XPG Kyber 750W Gold ATX 3.0
Network: Built-in Gigabit LAN
Sound Card: Integrated Soundchip
Cooling: CPU cooler Arctic Liquid Freezer III 36

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Z series chipset motherboard would be ideal when paired with an unlocked processor; otherwise, look for a non-K SKU processor if you need a chipsetted board.
It will be used for 3D CAD work and, in my spare time (if available), for gaming.
Please share the apps and games you plan to run on the system. What is your location? Which site do you prefer for purchases? And what is your budget?

Perhaps, though improbable. It’s likely you’ll need to update it after five years due to significant performance gains.

Imagine a computer you could have assembled in 2014 with a similar price range. Would you still rely on it now?

Hi, I've built a PC myself.
If you already built it then no reason to post the question now. You already have it so enjoy.
EDIT it will serve you well till it don't nobody can set a time limit on that but 10 years is a bit unrealistic.

Sorry, but I created the account and wrote this right away. I wanted to share this feedback the next day. You're correct, the Z series would be a better choice. I plan to use it for Creo 10, Genshin Impact, and occasionally other games when time allows. I'm from Austria and prefer using PC for a long time without frequent upgrades, staying within a budget of 2000€. I don't have a specific preferred site for purchasing, just a platform that builds it and runs tests. I don't have much time or expertise to handle that. P.S. Please don't judge my English—I almost repeated a few school years because of it.

I don't want to, and I'm frugal, so my computer might crash when I do basic CAD tasks before upgrading.

It's my very first PC, and in 2014 I hadn't owned one before. That's why I'm reaching out, as I lack the knowledge and experience.
