Hello, I’m trying to set up a Tekkit server again with two friends. We’re looking for a reliable hosting solution since we often need the server up quickly. I’m not interested in Minecraft hosting companies, even though it’s simpler, because I want to learn how to configure it myself. I found OVH’s VPS Cloud offering around £10, and there are specs listed online. I’m unsure which one fits best or what resources I’ll need. My current usage is shown here: http://goo.gl/ZLba4r. Do you have any recommendations?

Keep your computer powered on so the server stays active continuously.

Running Tekkit alongside IperWeb's OverZold has been smooth. Located in Milan, Italy, my latency stays under 60 ms even from northern England, despite a poor copper connection. The service is affordable since they allocate more servers than needed, adjusting between containers when demand spikes. No performance issues have arisen. More details at their site: http://overzold.com/

It creates sound and is in my room. Appreciate the ideas, I’m considering Ramnode and OverZold now.
