I've been using an i7 7700k with an Asus TUF Z270 MK1 and an NZXT Kraken X62 AIO. Running at 80% fan speed in a push-pull setup, I usually see temperatures between 70 and 80 degrees. They stay above 70 but never exceed 78. I'm thinking about swapping to a chassis with better airflow (maybe the 680X Crystal series) and want to confirm if these temps are acceptable. I know this chip tends to get hot, so I need to decide whether lowering the core overclock by 4.6 on all cores to stock frequency is safe or if it's okay to keep it as is.
Maximum temperatures reach up to 100°C, which is normal. Just remember, load temperatures aren't very useful unless you also consider the surrounding environment.

Well lucky you lol. I have to keep my PC on the floor due to their being no room on my desk. I never actually hit 80. I max out at 78 on 1 core and around 77 - 68 on the others. Except from cinebench, I hit these temperatures when I'm playing Rainbow 6 Siege at, absolute max graphics, at 144hz, 1080p. (this is the high definition variant of R6 which is 90gb, the steam variant is standard with 60gb)
It's been running at maximum throttle for two years under heavy use, which is typical for this setup. The specs match what I expect. No cause for concern.
