For a bunch of complicated reasons, I had to rerun some Ethernet cables in my home with Monoprice slimrun CAT6A. Normally it would have worked, but the issue is these cables are too thin for standard connectors. I ended up reattaching the old connector on the cable going from the Verizon ONT to my router, and my speeds dropped to around 35 Mbps. I’m struggling to find connectors rated for 28 AWG (the size these cables use) that cost less than $30 each. I’m sure they exist, but I might be searching in the wrong spots. Anyone experienced with terminating these ultra-thin Ethernet cables? I need help locating the right connectors for em. I tried regular connectors and the wires just came out. I also used a different connector type—cable matters tool-free connectors—but they didn’t help either.

I haven't worked much with slim cables before. For wall-to-wall connections, I usually use standard-sized cables to boost insulation and cut down on interference chances. For shorter distances, I opt for patch cables that are the right length and already crimped. I saw these two options mentioned.

The initial option seems promising, thank you! Your order should arrive in a few days, and I'm eagerly anticipating restoring my gigabit internet connection.
