It's a straightforward question, but I'm not sure anyone has a clear response. I have a complete AMD build on my PC with a Ryzen 7900 and a 7900X chipset. While the CPU performance is strong, I'm curious if boosting its speed can help reduce the jittering in VR on Windows 11. Since the CPU is also used during VR sessions, I don’t want to completely reinstall everything just to test it. I’m wondering if anyone has experience with this and whether 24H2 improves VR stability and eliminates the shaking effect.

The stuttering in VR is entirely caused by AMD drivers. In fact, NVIDIA faced the same problem for nearly a year before resolving it (about two years ago). It appears few care about VR users from AMD because their audience remains limited—just those with AMD hardware, not the broader VR community.

It works great on Windows 10. Would you like to know if these drivers are still available?

The latest 24H2 Windows 11 version has taken away support for Windows Mixed Reality. Moving ahead, Windows 10 will be the operating system for VR experiences. Microsoft seems to be focusing more on privacy measures and phasing out features that older hardware relied on. Linux appears to be our best chance moving forward. We should hope Steam launches a desktop version soon.
