I would create a backup of the Windows 7 installation with third-party tools, then proceed to install Windows 10. If it turns out better, keep using 10; otherwise, revert to 7. Restart the system after reinstalling.

If I were you, I'd stick with 7. Ten feels quite low. In the end, the pros and cons don't really stand out much. It comes down to what you prefer personally. You could split the drive so you can test both and see which suits you better.
