I’d love to hear your thoughts on my latest project.
Hello, I already received the parts, but the delivery was delayed a bit. I should have noted this before purchasing, but I can return within 14 days. Was my choice for the i5 13600k with DDR5 32GB RAM justified? I’m planning to run it at 1440p ultra wide at 144Hz.
My current monitor is an AOC CU34G2X/BK 34.0" curved display (3440 x 1440, 144Hz). I don’t have a GPU yet since I won a giveaway for the Rtx 4060ti 8GB. It should suffice with minimal settings.
Could you suggest improvements or alternatives? This PC is mainly intended for gaming. Here are the parts I have:

Congrats on the giveaway!
The main issues I noticed are the expensive Corsair AIO and the slow CL40 rams. I recommend a 6000/6400mhz CL30/32 kit.
There are more affordable ARGB coolers and rams available.
It’s not essential to stick only to Corsair parts, though it does simplify RGB management.
I’m unsure if the PSU is already included; £140 for an 850W unit isn’t a good deal. You could get a 1000W tier A PSU for that cost.
The same applies to the motherboard—an MSI Tomahawk offers better value for similar specs. The price you mentioned doesn’t seem to match current market rates.

i would suggest checking out the recommended AIO options or exploring other airflow solutions available.
I plan to keep this RTX 4060Ti for a while until I save up a bit. I’ve been considering the RTX 4080, but since it seems overpriced, I’m unsure if it’s worth it. Performance-wise, how it compares to the RTX 7800 XT or the RTX 4080 at 1440p ultrawide isn’t clear to me. 😊
As observed in the video, doubling the lower price yields nearly identical performance, and at 4K resolution, both cards deliver higher FPS. The only reason I’d pick a 4080 over a 7800 XT is if you’re particularly interested in RayTracing; otherwise, the 7800 XT clearly stands out.
