Hey everyone, just wanted to share some background on what’s been going on with my displayport monitors. Over time, they’ve been waking up from sleep and rearranging my icons in ways that have become frustrating. At first I didn’t pay much attention, but now I’m trying to set my icons exactly where I want on the main screen. When I move either the last or second-to-last icon, everything snaps back to its original layout. This behavior is what Windows uses to decide how icons should be arranged after monitors wake up. I’ve noticed this only happens when certain icons are placed in the top row of my desktop; spreading them out doesn’t trigger it. I’ve looked up online but haven’t found any other people discussing this problem. I’ve attached a short video showing the issue, especially when the last icon was moved. It’s interesting to note that the snap-back only occurs once—otherwise all icons shift. My setup includes three monitors: two displayport and one HDMI, with the primary one being a displayport. If anyone has advice or knows a workaround, I’d really appreciate it! desktopiconswhat.mp4
