On my machine (2016 256GB nTB MBP), moving files from the Dock shortcut into iCloud Drive folders in Finder can cause glitches and visual artifacts. In Finder, the folder should function properly unless you drag files there. The fix often involves using Command+Z to reverse the action, though this doesn’t always succeed. Restoring from TimeMachine usually resolves the problem. This seems to be an isolated issue, not affecting other views like the list or thumbnail sections. I’d love to hear if others experience this.

It feels like we're back in Windows 98 once more.

Never experienced Windows 98, it functions properly and files are saved, though the visual display isn't clear. The Finder seems to have problems moving items to the cloud and showing them. Switching to a list view resolves the issue, indicating a problem with how Finder handles cloud transfers. Time machine has consistently had issues but remains usable.
