I have a chipset 3070 with four slots and an NZXT N7 Z790. I tried using CPIe 16x slot 1, but it didn<|pad|> to work. I moved it to slot 3 and it functioned then. However, on my last motherboard it didn’t work either. I’m not sure what to do next. On PC PartPicker it says I can install it in slot 1.

Could be a partially faulty slot on the GPU because the third one is connected to X4, or the motherboard operating in PCIe 5.0 mode might be affecting performance.

Ensure the graphics card is properly installed in the PCIe slot. As discussed before, the 1st versus 3rd slot might have issues with the x16 interface, though it should function in x4 mode. Leaving it in the 3rd slot is fine; the x4 interface should suffice for data transfer. For slot 1, adjust the BIOS settings to set the PCIe generation to gen 4 or gen 3. If changes don’t help, switch slot 1 to x4 mode (BIOS settings may vary by board). Good luck!
