After reviewing the instructions and setting up the system, I learned that connecting both power sockets isn’t strictly required. The computer can start and function adequately with just the eight-pin connector in. Still, I’m certain you’re using a Gigabyte Aorus Pro Wi-Fi board paired with an Intel i9-9900K processor. Using both power connectors is definitely advantageous. Someone with the right tools might be able to back it up. My BIOS settings are mostly auto, and the CPU runs at 4800MHZ even when idle. Temperatures hovered around 60°C with the NH-D15 cooler. Cinebench improved by 27 points—only after switching to a four-pin power adapter. If this isn’t clear, I apologize for repeating myself.

Figure 150w per 8 pin. When your output is below 150 watts during load, a single 8 pin works. If you're averaging around 140 watts but exceeding 150 watts, it's acceptable to use two.

I’m new to this project, so I didn’t check the power capacity of the eight-pin connector. With a chip that can handle over 150 watts, it actually makes sense to use the four-pin version too.

If it's present and you have the 4pin cable from the PSU, simply plug it in—it won’t cause any issues. The most dangerous scenario is experiencing no noticeable impact.
