i would have seen temperatures before disconnecting but didn’t, wondering if they were okay. seems a bit early for a delid. keep in mind the cpu fan spins at 1250rpm but hits 80c on cores running r23 cinabench. the cooler is a quiet bequiet dark rock tf 2 with just the top fan at around 1250rpm; i put something across the plate and didn’t notice overheating, so maybe the gap is too big? the only fix would be to lift the top of it. i doubt you want the cooler resting on the diy, as that could crack it, but i’m not sure. nothing’s broken yet, so it might be stock. edited october 4, 2023 by thrasher_565
