Hi, I'm running an i9 7900X, Looking at getting the RTX 3090 but the question is will the CPU bottleneck the graphics card and if so by how much?, I'm into sims such as Flight Simulator 2020. My options are I can jump to another platform now or wait for the new Ryzen CPU's and just use the i9 with the new nvidia card in the meanwhile. Will I notice a difference from an RTX 2080Ti or will my CPU hold it back.

Wait for the ampere reading to stabilize and assess its performance. Observe how the 7900x handles a 3090 first. Overall, it should work fine, particularly at higher resolutions. Just keep checking until you're sure.

Retrieve the card and observe. If the results don’t match your expectations, consider your CPU. Avoid treating it as an issue until it truly arises.
