X299 Dark offers good overclocking potential, but newer boards exist. For full lane access similar to the 10980XE, you'll need an X299X motherboard (the Dark doesn't support that). If you need more advanced features, the GIGABYTE X299X DESIGNARE 10G is a better choice.
